Kids on the Sunshine Coast love CoderDojo
An invasion of ninjas made term 2 fantastic with high attendance at all dojo’s and our mentors helped with all sorts of questions from “how to jump a sprite in scratch” to “particle display in unity”. Show and tell days involved spectacular games, presentations, electronics (someone made a home alarm network for his bedroom door with key card access, yes his parents are awesome) and of course lots of noise laughs and fun.
All our mentors are super heroes and their efforts are appreciated by everyone.
We told you that you would know, when we would know, and now we know the new dates for term 3 and which dojos on the coast that will be in session this term.
Term 3 will commence on Saturday the 15th of July and continue through to the 9th of September, every Saturday morning.
This term there will be three Dojo’s running across the Coast:
• Noosa dojo held at Noosaville Library.
• The Sippy Downs Mid-Coast dojo at the University.
• Brand new Cooroy dojo held at the Cooroy library.
We have not forgotten about Maleny, Maleny is taking a break over Winter and is going to return in Summer.
To attend a session you must book online using Eventbrite prior to attending, if you would like to attend but cannot use Eventbrite or the website says we are booked out add yourself to the waitlist, email us or message us on Facebook as we often have space become available during the term.
We are looking forward to a new term, a new dojo and to meet some new ninjas.
Being a part of CoderDojo as a mentor is incredibly rewarding and mentors are the most invaluable resource we cherish and need more of. Please get in contact with us to learn how to be involved.
